responsabilidad social

Social Responsibility has been at the heart of lucas&asociados’s corporate values since its very inception.

lucas&asociados has led the “responsibility revolution” in East Andalusia, having had a long-standing involvement in CSR activities, historically focused on providing pro-bono legal advice.

lucas&asociados’s current CSR programmes [2013-2015] aim at making a difference in the communities where its professionals and clients work and live.

Its CSR programmes are currently focused on providing access to justice, education and finance, combining the provision of pro-bono legal work, hands-on volunteering and financial contribution.

lucas&asociados has recently signed a framework agreement with ASALER (Asociación Almeriense de Emigrantes Retornados), by which the firm puts his technical skills and experience at the service of all of its members.

ASALER is a non-for-profit organisation-founded in 1999- aimed at supporting returned emigrants and their families. It is the largest organisation in Almeria, with over 3,500 members and together with other local and regional charities of its kind it is organised under a national umbrella federation and brings together more than 50,000 members.

We are currently providing legal advice and support to ASALER in their campaign against Spain’s government decision to use new data -surfaced after recent cross-border collaboration with other EU tax authorities- to unfairly enforce a to-this-date non-applied tax regulation, originating an inquisitorial and discriminating prosecution of a collective of more than one million Spanish pensioners returned from a life-long working-exile abroad.

Leading professionals of the corporate departments of the firms JC Abogados and lucas&asociados have recently teamed up -as part of their respective CSR policies and their commitment towards Spanish young entrepreneurs- in order to offer start-ups of Andalucía the opportunity to access first-class business, tax and legal advice at a fraction of its market cost. As a consequence, an agreement has been recently signed with Talentia, the pool of young business talent that has been promoted by the Regional government over the last few years. The Association of Talentia Alumni is a non-for-profit organization that has been created with the aim of creating a forum in which to bring together the talent of all those young entrepreneurs that have been distinguished with the award of the Talentia scholarship, the most important help granted by the Junta de Andalucía. A scholarship that is only conditioned to the necessary return of the talented young entrepreneurs to Andalusia after a maximum period of three years in order to start a business venture at home. We are currently supporting the organisation on a pro-bono basis, helping it to reach its full potential at all levels, internally for its fellow Talentia Alumni and externally to reach the community, as part of their objectives. We are also helping all member who need it, with an entrepreneur pack that offers a comprehensive set of business, tax and legal services to help their businesses take off, becoming sustainable and profitable in the long run, and thus benefitting the community as a whole with the creation of jobs and wealth.
